Melanie Blake joined Sharpe Pritchard as a solicitor in the Construction team in October 2020.
Melanie specialises primarily in construction and engineering dispute resolution and is experienced in acting for clients in adjudications as well as the pre-action stages of litigation. She regularly advises on standard form construction contracts, including the JCT and NEC, PFI contracts and bespoke construction contracts. Melanie is also experienced in non-contentious construction matters and frequently advises clients during pre-contract negotiations.
Melanie acts for a range of clients, including employers, main contractors and subcontractors in the health, local government and infrastructure sectors.
Having graduated with a Batchelor of Laws degree from the University of Nottingham, she trained in-house at a major construction firm before moving into private practice.
